Popularize the knowledge of LED plant growth lights:
 
1. Different wavelengths of light have different effects on plant photosynthesis. The wavelength of light required for plant photosynthesis is around 400-700nm. Light at 400-500nm (blue) and 610-720nm (red) contribute the most to photosynthesis.
2. Blue (470nm) and red (630nm) LEDs can just provide the light needed by plants. Therefore, the ideal choice for LED grow lights is to use these two color combinations. In terms of visual effects, the red and blue combination of plant lights is pink.
3. Blue light can promote the growth of green leaves; red light is helpful for flowering and prolonging the flowering period.
4. The ratio of red and blue LEDs of LED plant growth lights is generally between 4:1--9:1, usually 4-7:1.

5. When using a plant growth lamp to fill the plant with light, the height from the leaves is generally about 0.5 meters, and the continuous irradiation for 12-16 hours a day can completely replace the sunlight.


Plants need sunlight to thrive. The effect of light on plant growth is to promote plant chlorophyll to absorb nutrients such as carbon dioxide and water to synthesize carbohydrates. However, modern science can make plants grow better in places without the sun. People have mastered the internal principle of plants' need for the sun, that is, the photosynthesis of leaves. During the photosynthesis of leaves, the excitation of external photons is needed to complete the entire photosynthesis process. The sun's rays are the energy-supplying process of photon excitation. Artificially created light sources can also allow plants to complete the photosynthesis process. Modern horticulture or plant factories combine supplementary light technology or complete artificial light technology. Scientists have found that the blue and red light regions are very close to the efficiency curve of plant photosynthesis and are the best light sources for plant growth.
 
Using LED semiconductor bulbs to configure the most suitable light source for LED grow lights

Proportional colored lights make strawberries and tomatoes sweeter and more nutritious. Lighting holly seedlings mimics the photosynthesis of plants outdoors. Photosynthesis refers to the process by which green plants use light energy through chloroplasts, convert carbon dioxide and water into organic matter that stores energy, and release oxygen. Sunlight is made up of different colors of light, and different colors of light can have different effects on plant growth.


LED light source, also known as semiconductor light source, has a relatively narrow wavelength and can control the color of light. By irradiating plants individually with it, plant varieties can be improved.


The holly seedlings tested under the purple light grew the tallest, but the leaves were small and the roots were shallow, and they looked malnourished. The seedlings under the yellowish light are not only dwarfed, but the leaves also look lifeless. The holly grown under the mixed light of red and blue grow best, not only strong, but also very developed root system. The red and blue bulbs of this LED light source are configured in a 9:1 ratio.


The results show that 9:1 red and blue light is the most beneficial to plant growth. After this light source, the strawberry and tomato fruits are full, the content of sugar and vitamin C is significantly increased, and the phenomenon of hollowing will not appear. With continuous exposure for 12-16 hours a day, strawberries and tomatoes grown under such a light source will taste better than ordinary greenhouse fruits.
