The basic choices of modern urban road lighting are LED street lights, so what indicators should be paid attention to when choosing LED street lights?

Generally speaking, the basic technical indicators of LED street lights are divided into three categories: one is optical performance indicators, the other is electrical performance indicators and other indicators

1. Optical performance index

1.light effect
Generally speaking, the street light effect is the luminous flux emitted by the street light per watt of electric energy, and the unit is LM/W (lumens/watt). The greater the luminous effect, the higher the efficiency of the street lamp in converting electrical energy into light energy; the greater the luminous effect, the stronger the brightness under the same power street lamp.
At present, the light efficiency of mainstream LED street light products in the market can basically reach 140lm/W. Therefore, in practical projects, the requirement that the light efficiency of street lamps is greater than 130lm/W is generally put forward.

2. Color temperature
The color temperature of the street light is a parameter indicating the color of the street light, and the unit is K. The color temperature of yellow light or warm white is less than or equal to 3500K; the color temperature of neutral white is greater than 3500K and less than 5000K; the color temperature of cool white is greater than 5000K.

In practical projects, the color temperature is generally selected between 3000K--4000K, which is highly comfortable to the human eye, and the light color is closer to the traditional high-pressure sodium lamp, which is more acceptable to people.

3. Color rendering index
Where there is light, there is color. Objects also show different colors under different light exposures. The color displayed by an object under sunlight is often referred to as its natural color. In order to express the level of different light reflecting the true color of the object, people use the color rendering index to measure, the unit is Ra. The color rendering index usually ranges from 20 to 100. The larger the value, the better it can show the true color. The display index of sunlight is 100.

In actual use, the color rendering index of general street lamps is greater than or equal to 70

2.Electrical performance index

1. Rated working voltage
This indicator is easy to understand, that is, the input voltage of the street light. However, it should be noted that in actual work, the voltage of the power supply line itself fluctuates up and down, and due to the voltage drop at the far and near ends of the line, the voltage range of the power supply line is usually between AC170 ~ 240 V.
Therefore, the rated working voltage range of LED road lighting products should be AC100 ~ 240 V.

2. Power factor
Usually the power factor of street lights is greater than 0.9. Now mainstream products have achieved 0.95 and above.

3, other indicators

1. Structural dimensions
In the project of street lamp replacement, the size of the lamp arm should be considered or measured on site, and the subsequent lamp head mounting holes need to be adapted to the size of the lamp arm rod

2. Dimming requirements
LED street lights can adjust the brightness by changing the size of the working current, so as to achieve energy saving in scenes such as midnight lights.
At present, in practical projects, 0-10VDC signal is commonly used to control dimming.

3. Safety requirements
Generally, the requirements for LED lamps are IP65 or above, the requirements for module light sources are IP67 and above, and the power requirements are IP67.
