The Tennis Court Lighting requirement for Professionals

The lighting standards for professional games are required by the Tennis Professional Association (ATP) and are divided into two categories: World Tour and Challenger Tour.

1.ATP World Tour Championship: For the tennis court that used for the World Tour Championship, its lighting must be evenly distributed on the pitch, and its minimum light intensity is 100-foot candles (about 1076 lux). For the tennis court used for a TV game, its lowest level lighting candles on average should be around 186 feet (about 2,002 lux).

2.ATP Challenger Tour Championship: For the tennis court used for the Challenger Tour, its lighting must be evenly distributed on the court, and its light intensity should be at least 70-foot candles (about 750 lux).

The installation of Light pole: According to ATP regulations, all light poles should be installed so that the light is evenly distributed around the stadium. The installation height should be no less than 40 feet or no less than other stadium lights in the equipment not shown. For example, if other non-performance venues are 60 feet, then all upgraded lamps should also be 60 feet tall.
